An Overview of the Bulk Listing Tool:
The Bulk Listing Tool enables vendors to upload listings onto urShelf.com from a mere spreadsheet. Using this tool, vendors can list their entire inventories in just minutes.

To start, download a spreadsheet template: bulk-listing-template.xls (recommended) or bulk-listing-template.csv. Next, either paste or enter your inventory data into this template using a spreadsheet editor like Microsoft Excel. When you are done, save your spreadsheet as a Comma Separated Values (.csv) file. Then, click next and follow the steps to validate your spreadsheet and create your listings.

Important:
  • If you are new to urShelf, we highly recommend that you first use our single book posting wizard located here to post at least one book. This wizard will provide a step by step guide to all our listing features.
  • If you intend to associate a campus with your listing, you should use our Lookup Campus ID Tool.
  • A single spreadsheet should contain 200 or less listings (each row is a listing). Any additional listings will be ignored.
  • You are not required to enter a book's title, author1, author2, publisher, edition, binding, or retail price if you provide the ISBN of a book that is already in our database. You will be notified in Step 2 if any of this data is missing from our database.
  • It is not necessary to delete the headings from your spreadsheet as our software will automatically ignore the 1st line of headings.
  • Start Date must be in the format "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM", where HH is in 24 hour time.
  • Be careful when pasting ISBN numbers starting with a "0" in MS Excel, as Excel tends to remove these starting 0's. You can avoid this by pasting the ISBN into the text field to the right of fx.
